This is by far the worst credit union. I have been their customer for many years, and it is getting much worse. The banking system is ALWAYS down and connection lost, and you cannot get in in the middle of the day! If you have Zelle, then you are basically screwed because it doesn’t work well, and so time time consuming to deal with awful reps on the phone. This is the only bank that proudly offer incompetent customer service!

Run away, there are so many good banks out there. FAIRWINDS should be ashamed! But unfortunately they do not care. So do not open a new account here if you are considering.

This review is not for this branch. This is pertaining to the Lake Mary location. My card was locked over a dollar and when I called for help around 11:30 am today, every member that answered the phone gave me the hardest time just to unlock my card. It should NEVER take 8 phone calls and being transferred twice each phone call to unlock a card, especially not for one dollar that they suspect is fraud. I told everyone that the one dollar was me because I know that no one has access to my account or card so I know it was something I did on my end but because I didn't know the transaction abbreviations right at the moment my time was wasted. I've banked this fairwinds for years now and I learned today that only one person at that location knows how to unlock a card. I will happily close my account this week. I miss the old employees that made fairwinds a great experience for me.

I've been a member for over 5 years, have almost an 800 credit score, and I have zero debt. First and only time I apply for a small personal loan they just denied me and then offered half. I'll be taking all of my money, all future car loans, and all future mortgages elsewhere. And I'll be sure to tell everybody I know to do the same!

Lan Nguyen and Sam at this location are great. Lan sat with me to open up multiple accounts and ensure I was protected and receiving the best interest rate with each account. She explained other options I could add to my accounts and was very thorough. She was polite and very knowledgable. Sam the teller was pleasant and made my experience great.

My husband and I were also in the need of a loan to fund a home renovation which she also assisted us with and it was such a wonderful experience!
