Kai was my acupuncturist and I'm blown away. After my first session I'm already seeing results. Kai really takes her time to listen to all of your concerns and what is going on with your health to help formulate a holistic way to heal your body from the inside out. We ended my session with hot massage and gua Sha work which really helped to release tension in my jaw that I didn't realize I had. She's highly intuitive and knows her stuff. I'm looking forward to having regular visits! And yes, I bought the hot massager - it's incredible.

Massages by Ruth are the highlight of my weekend. She is the perfect balance of masseuse and physical therapist, always working with me to improve the aches and pains I'm feeling. I leave not just feeling relaxed, but also like I'm making a lasting difference to my body, and this is what differentiates the Lanshin experience from other massages I've had in the past. Not only is she a excellent practitioner, but she's also a wonderful person. Everyone who works at Lanshin is so friendly and welcoming, it really feels like a community. I couldn't recommend Ruth and Lanshin more!

Update from 8/17/15:
I feel compelled to give an update, since it's been over a year now, and I'm still getting my treatments from Britta! I'm getting married next year and have begun treatments every 6 weeks religiously, and I look forward to every one. Britta's keeping my skin in excellent shape for my big day, and will continue to do so post-wedding. She only gets more advanced and thoughtful with her technique and philosophy. Even if there's another place that is just as committed to natural products, you want HER to do your facials and skin care because she is very bespoke in regards to her process. She assesses what YOU need for your skin and adjusts accordingly. She also makes herself available between appointments in case of any major questions or feedback, which I find to be extremely professional and unheard of at most other skin care centers.

All of the products I've bought at Treatment by Lanshin are AMAZING as well. They last a super long time, and actually work, and are like food and nourishment for your skin, to keep it supported, hydrated, and healthy - NOT harsh chemicals that will thin your skin and make it look pretty now and terrible later on in life because it's also more vulnerable to the elements. The entire staff has a hand in trying and testing products, to make sure they always carry the BEST on the market for their clients' home care.

Britta is wonderful - very intelligent and professional. I have had facials at many big and small establishments around Manhattan - by far she has the best approach. She is very good at making you feel at ease, and her extractions are thorough yet gentle. A rare find! Her products are all well-researched - they are of the highest quality and all organic, and without fillers/unnecessary chemicals. She always leaves my face looking healthy and feeling soft.

She will send you home with samples of the regimen she recommends, which is also in its own way relaxing - no need to change your regimen until you've tried it out at home for a few days. I did in fact change my regimen to follow exactly the products she recommended, and I'm so much happier. The easy regimen works so well for me.

She just "gets" it - the experience of having a facial is supposed to make you feel good, and each step of her process is stress-free and relaxing. My skin is super soft, improving in texture and tone, my redness has decreased significantly, and my dryness has been cured. If you are looking for top-of-the-line results, service, and experience, you should definitely make an appointment ASAP. I look forward to my appointment every 4-6 weeks! Thank you Britta!

I had my share of facials and I know when a facial is outstanding, not only by the way it feels during the treatment, but how I feel when I leave and most importantly: how I look! I had my first facial with Karin at Treatment by Lanshin a month ago and I felt absolutely like heaven. She has the magic touch! I felt she really paid attention to little nuances in my skin, drier near my scalp and a bit oilier around my nose, and when I left I felt my skin was balanced, clean, nourished and glowing. The products they select for the facials are all organic and made in small batches by companies I love and respect. I know they only hire top notch estheticians there and I am sure to return at least once a month. I wish I could it give 10 stars!
