Sanlan is paradise in the midst of a city. One would never know you were so close to all, and any necessary amenities. We are Canadian and stay for the winter and totally enjoy every aspect of this amazing animal sanctuary and RV park. Laura and the staff are always friendly, professional and available to us when/if necessary. We have been blessed to make some very good friends here. Life is good here! If you like to walk…the trails are absolutely amazing. Something different to explore each trek. The scenery is beyond beautiful. this park is well maintained and the grounds keepers are always smiling, kind and friendly. |No matter where we are on this planet…there will always be someone who finds fault or chooses to complain about things that really, in our humble view, are meaningless. Life is short…enjoy the ride! No better place to do so than here at Sanlan with its great campers, and staff. It truly is a little piece of paradise.

The ladies in the office, Laura,Tiffanie, and Chole were very helpful and knowledgeable. They quickly checked me in and briefed me on the facilities. I only interacted with two other personnel, Bill a Ranger and Juan, a grounds person. They went out of their way to help me also. I highly recommend Sanlan as a vacation spot.

For our first experience at an RV park and getting into the RV lifestyle, my husband and I could not have picked a better place to stay! We even feel now we may have set the bar too high for the first park, as a lot of the ones we’ve come across now just can’t compete, especially with the family feel. We were here for several months and want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Laura for being so welcoming and accommodating throughout our whole stay. We would pop into the office just to chat and she always genuinely cared about our stay and experience. When we first came to check out the park before booking, she even took us on a tour and from day one made us feel like family. I can say for sure that we will be back, partially just to see Laura and all of the wonderful people at the park. The girls at the office, Tiffanie, Seven, and Chloe, were always friendly and helpful with anything we needed, like extending our stay. We’ll miss our conversations with everyone, including rangers Bill, Wayne, and Matt. They always made our day! Whenever they saw us they would check in and see how our trip was going and what our plans were. By the time we left, everyone felt like FAMILY and it was almost sad to leave! We truly miss seeing everyone. This place quickly felt like home in the time that we were here.

The park itself is also beautiful and well maintained. The sites are all spacious, even the standard ones, and are all full hookup. They conveniently have 2 water spigots for each site which we REALLY MISS. Even though some of the spots are grass, they are all level and have great drainage, even during a small hurricane. They have two beautiful and pristine pools for guests, which we very much enjoyed in the summer. They have a really great laundry room with plenty of machines to accommodate multiple people doing laundry at once. All the facilities, including the bath houses, are always very well kept and clean.

We very much recommend renting a golf cart and taking the nature trail! It was recommended to us by some of their other residents, and we’re so happy we did it. A lot of parks say “walking trail” and most are disappointing, but Sanlan has a great trail that’s quite long with some amazing views and a beautiful butterfly garden that made for a perfect little nature escape for the day.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SANLAN FAMILY! We can’t wait to come back and see you all again at our “home” park!

Spent a week here with friends that had stayed here before. We had been assigned premium plus spots in the northwest area. They were anything but premium plus in my opinion and we ended up moving to standard sites (3 price levels lower) with shade and way better wireless signal.

The rules at this place are not ideal for those traveling with pets such as my friends. No tie downs and no outside fences. The not so nice front desk clerk (NOT Chloe - the other one!) made it a point to call out the fact that people before us ruined it for the rest of us by leaving their pets unattended outside and then bad things happen. How about having a rule that just forbids leaving pets unattended outside? What a novel idea! The not so nice lady also asked if we had even read the rules and that's when Karma kicked in and she herself noticed the printing error (picture attached) that somehow combined pets and fires into one. One pool sign also reads that it closes as 6pm while the other one says dusk. How difficult is it to just have consistency?

As for the sites themselves, they are great. The camping community is also great but this review is more about this resort so back to it.

Chloe on the front desk is an absolute gem! She takes customer service and sprinkles sugar and sweetness all over it and delivers it with such grace and pleasantries! She is a rockstar. Perhaps the other one could learn a thing or two.

The wireless is only good in certain areas. They did acknowledge that it's bad and blamed it all on Spectrum saying that they didn't deliver what they had promised to deliver.

Coming and going into this place is anything but pleasant. You'll press the button to alert the ranger and be greeted with an unpleasant voice that says "RANGER" and that's about it. After stating why you're there the gate will open. I think they found the grumpiest guy in Polk county to work here as a Ranger. Although we did end up meeting another ranger who was the complete opposite. Super nice. We ended up spending a good 20 minutes having great conversation one evening while out riding the incredibly expensive rental golf cart. ($135 for a 2 night maximum - quite steep!)

Camping was great, especially with friends! As for this place, I'm not sure I'd come back here.

Make sure you're aware of the rules. For sure the non pleasant front desk clerk will ask if you had read them.

Rangers and Maintenance staff are top notch, the office could use some repairs. Loved the stay, wish they would accept more of my money but they won't. If your looking longer term in a nice environment look elsewhere, you won't be accepted regardless of how much extra you are willing to pay. We'll kept property and overall great people to deal with.

Amenities are OK. Shuffle boards are good, soccer court good, hike bike trails excellent, golf course is like a municipal course, but driving range is good but pricey. RV site prices are 50% above places in Arizona that have 3x amenities. I guess Florida is just very expensive? But there is the gulf coast and Orlando nearby, so...
